With everyone using their own mobiles, are we just keeping landlines for tradition’s sake? Do guests even use them anymore?

Mobile phones have definitely reduced the everyday use of landlines, but I don’t think they’re obsolete, especially in hotels. Many guests still appreciate having a reliable room phone to contact reception, request housekeeping, report emergencies, or order room service without relying on their own device. They’re also useful if a guest’s mobile battery dies or there’s poor cellular coverage inside the building. For hotel staff, landline-style systems remain an efficient communication tool. If you’re considering an upgrade, it’s worth looking at modern hotel telephones which combine a professional appearance with practical features for hospitality environments.

I agree. Mobile phones are convenient, but hotel room phones still provide dependable communication, especially during emergencies or service requests. Modern hotel telephones also integrate well with hospitality systems and improve guest convenience.
